Homer was abandoned on our doorstep on Father’s Day. Weighing in at only 6 pounds, he was just too cute. How anyone could abandon this little puppy was beyond our belief. Homer quickly moved into our home, our bed and into our hearts.

Everyone that met Homer said the same thing, “he sure hit a homerun by ending up at your house”, and that’s how Homer got his name!!

The vets estimated Homer to be 6 to 7 weeks old. It must have been the hardest few weeks of one’s life as he eats like there’s no tomorrow. Cookie, treat, food and hungry are a few of Homer’s favorite words.

Homer has recently begun agility training. His desire to please and his food motivation are turning Homer into an excellent student. Homer’s motto is “if there’s food involved, count him in!”

He’s become a constant companion at home and at the office. He and my Miniature Schnauzer, Joy are the best of friends. The two of them have me wrapped around their paws!!
